Printing Tags

Paper

• We require that you print tags on 65 or 67 lb cardstock. Regular paper is not accepted.
• Use white 65 or 67 lb cardstock if you want to donate your unsold items at sale item. White tags items are donated before Pickup.
• Use your assigned cardstock color listed on your confirmation email if you want to pick up your unsold items. Your cardstock color is based on the first digit of your 4 digit code.

Quick Tagging Review:

• Please add a dab of tape to your tag corner, hole punch, and ZIP-TIE your tag to your item whenever possible.
• DO NOT zip-tie the tag to the hanger.
• DO NOT zip-tie the item to the hanger.
• If your clothing item is slippery, use the largest hanger possible and safety pin the item to the hanger.
• When an item is tagless and has no place to attach a Ziptie, use a safety pin or tag gun to attach tag to item.
• Hanger hook should open to your left making a question mark ? when looking at the garment's front.
• Remember, if using tape to attach tags to toys, etc, do not tape over the QR code!

QR Code Tags

• We require our QR code tags printed on our site. You may not use old barcode tags or tags from another consignment sale.
• Your tags will work at BB, KE, and EE and you may continue to tag between sales for the next season.
• The QR code contains your code, price and discount embedded in it.
  

Typing Tags & Our Tag Template

• For BoutiqueBASH, we require that you type all fields not only code, price, and discount.
• For KE and EE, you can handwrite the other fields, but we strongly recommend typing.
• To reprice, change the discount, or modify descriptions:
  • You must retag your item.
  • You can't use a pen to alter your tags.
• You may NOT create your own template or paste into our online tag entry.
• We now offer an Excel template that you can use to enter an unlimited # of tags and create as many pages as you'd like. It's duplicate tag feature is fantastic.

Seller Reports

• Tag information is NOT saved once printed. KE does not retain a list of your unsold items. Keep your PDFs or tag template spreadsheet if you'd like a copy.

Required Information on Tags:

You must enter these fields in our system:

• Code
• Price
• Discount choice

We require these fields but they can be handwritten for KE and EE. We recommend typing which embeds them in your QR and puts them on your Seller Report.

• Category
• Size of clothing - use this field for TITLE OR AGE RANGE OR OTHER INFO IF NOT CLOTHING (For Kids EveryWEAR, if the size is a letter size, type the letter size and then "fits like" and the comparable # size. Hold the item up to other items if you are unsure.)
• Brand
• Color
• Description - Use the description field to sell your item. If the item is new with tags, write NWT! If the tag gets separated from your item, we use your description to match the tag back up. And we want to ensure that your tag can't be attached to someone else's item.(3+ words, detailed enough to match the tag to your item instead of another consignor's item in case it gets separated) Include information such as:
  • Cut
  • Wash
  • Color
  • Skinny
  • Slim
  • Flare
  • Bootcut
  • Flannel, plaid, striped, the word printed across it, corduroy, velvet, cotton...
  • Short-sleeved vs long-sleeved
• Book title (for books)
• Age range (for games)
• Number of pieces (for puzzles)

Types of Tags

Regular Tags

• This is the default tag needed for almost everything.
• The default discount choice is 75% off on the final day of KE or EE.
• For BoutiqueBASH, we don't offer a 75% off day, but we recommend that you choose 75% off in case you have items that can be brought to KE or EE if they don't sell at BB. The price will only scan at 50% off the final day of BoutiqueBASH.
• We recommend 75% off to help your items sell.

Duplicate Tags for Items with Multiple Pieces

• Duplicate Tags are for use for multi-piece items that might become separate or shoppers might try to pair with the wrong item:
  • Carseat + base
  • Table + chairs
  • Item + ziploc bags of parts
  • Clothing sets
• Clothing gets tried on and items will get separated, so duplicate tags are required on clothing sets.
• Our Excel template has the option to create as many duplicate tags as needed when you create the initial price tag. Just enter the quantity of duplicate tags needed and your tag page will include them with the information from the main price tag duplicated and the word DUPLICATE printed across the extra tags.
• Or use the tag entry on this page, click the Duplicate Tag radio button, and type Size, Brand, #pc's, and Description or handwrite these fields.
• Attach the regular price tag to the first piece of the set.
• Attach the duplicate tag(s) to the other pieces.
• The duplicate tag says "See other tag" in the price field. Do not add a price to your duplicate tags - the price is only on the regular price tag.
  

Homeschool Tags

Homeschool items are not allowed at BoutiqueBASH, but you can print these tags for KE and EE.

Discount Options

• If you do NOT want your items discounted, select MAX DISCOUNT NONE; the price will print in red if you have a color printer; "red" will print under the price. Use no discount sparingly for those treasures you'd rather get back than discount. If you do not have a color printer, we require that you circle the price with a red pen.
• If you would like to have your remaining items reduced only to 50% off for both the 50% off day and 50% off on the 75% off day, choose MAX DISCOUNT 50%, and it will print the word green under the price and print the price in green if you have a color printer. If you do not have a color printer, we require that you circle the price with a green pen.
• If you would like to have your remaining items reduced to 50% on the second to last day and then to 75% off on the final day of the sale after they have been offered at full price, then choose MAX DISCOUNT 75%, and it will print the price in black and print the word "black" under the price. You do not have to circle these. WE WILL NOT BE OFFERING 75% off at the Boutique Bash, but if you choose this option, your item will sell at 50% off on BB discount day. We recommend that so that if items don't sell, you can bring them to KE or EE and they will reduce to 75% off on the final days of those events.

Typed prices and discount choices are required for all tags for Kids EveryWEAR. If your tags do not generate a pdf, be sure you entered your CODE and LAST NAME in the correct fields and PRICES on your tags.
