Do I need to register for every sale?
Yes. Registration opens separately for each sale event.
Is there a minimum or maximum number of items?
There is a minimum of $50 worth of items to consign. There is no maximum limit.
Do I have to work Crew to consign?
No. Anyone may consign. However, Crew members receive earlier shopping privileges and additional benefits.

You may pick them up during our scheduled Pickup time. Items not picked up are donated according to your tag choices and sale policies.
Most common problems
I never received my confirmation email.
Check your spam folder first. If you check your confirmation email and it says Consignor=N, it means you joined our mailing list but did not check the consignor option. Please re-register and check Consignor.
My tags will not print correctly.
Tags will print a blank page if you do not enter prices in our Print Tags page. If you included all fields and properly entered your last name and code and still have trouble: In Acrobat, go to Advanced and choose "Print as Image." This should fix it.
Why was I not found on your online list?
If you've never consigned or been part of the Crew, use New Registration. If you were on our list before and moved, we might have updated your address already. Or, if we emailed you for an updated address and didn't hear back, we deleted your old registration information. In that case, please register again.
Consignors
Registration & fees
Why do you charge consignors $20?
Our expenses are astronomical and have increased dramatically in the last couple of years as our rent has increased drastically. We now pay tens of thousands of dollars in rent, exorbitant sums in bank and card costs, and oodles for storage and moving. We honestly can't continue the sale if we don't charge this amount, which incidentally is lower than other large sales charge.
I registered but cannot consign. How do I unregister?
Register again but this time enter the word "unregister" in the field next to the Consignor checkbox. Our consignor space is limited, so this frees up a spot for someone else. Thanks.
Tag printing & system
Are tags saved in the system? Can they be used for all sales?
Yes! Your tags are saved in your account. You can use them for future sales. You do not need to cancel them or delete them if an item doesn't sell—just bring it back next time!
Do you offer Consignment Manager for your sale?
No, we only accept tags printed directly from our website.
What is the purpose of the individual colors of cardstock?
The colors have greatly sped up the sorting process of unsold items. Rather than staring at the codes, we sort very quickly by color and put all of the white tags into boxes for donation. People continue to tell us that our sale is the best due to quality and organization and the colored cardstock plays a huge role in this success!
How and why should I do 3-word descriptions?
Always write a specific 3-word description (e.g., "Ann Taylor black blazer"). If your tag falls off, we search our system for those exact keywords to match the tag back to your item so you get paid!
What category should I use on tags?
Pick the category that best fits. For items like Pets, Cleaning Supplies, Tools, Furniture, and Garden items, please select the "Housewares" category.
What needs a duplicate tag?
Only use a duplicate tag on large items with multiple pieces that could easily get separated on the sales floor (like a dining table and chairs, or a multi-piece luggage set). Do NOT put duplicate tags on standard two-piece clothing outfits.
Hanging clothing
Where should I use a tagging gun?
Only put the needle through a garment's inside tag, or through a seam at the armpit or waistband. Never shoot it through the flat front fabric, as it creates a permanent hole!
How do I hang multiple pieces (like an outfit or suit)?
Hang the shirt/jacket on the hanger normally. Then, pin the pants or skirt to the top angled part of the hanger (catching the shirt fabric and the hanger) so they don't slide around.
How do I hang pants if I don't have a pants hanger?
Pin them to the top angled slopes of a regular wire or plastic hanger. Do not fold them over the bottom straight bar, as they will slide off and end up on the floor!
Where can I find hangers and what kind can I use?
Old Navy, Belk, Target, and Walmart discard them. Ask! Plastic or wire are fine (we prefer plastic). Adult hangers work best for sizes 5 and up. We offer them at Drop Off and Pickup when we can, and link to them on our Supply page.
Can I get back my hangers?
No. We don't have time at checkout to remove hangers. So the shopper keeps the hangers.
Tagging housewares, shoes & accessories
How do I tag hats?
If there is a label or a place to attach a zip tie, use it. Otherwise, use a tagging gun if possible but use two tag pins per item and insert very carefully somewhere you will not damage the fabric. As a last recourse, use a safety pin.
How do I tag shoes that don’t have a place for zip ties or are new in the box?
Put them in a Ziploc bag, tape the bag shut, and tape the tag to the outside of the bag. If they are in a box, tape the box shut and tape the tag securely to the box.
How do I tag items with lots of pieces (like small appliances or decor sets)?
Put all small pieces in a Ziploc bag, seal it with packing tape, and zip-tie the bag securely to the main item. Attach your tag securely to the main item.
How do I tag books? What do I write and how do I attach the tag?
Use painters tape or masking tape to attach tags to books so it doesn't tear the cover (never use packing tape on books!). Always write the exact title of the book in your 3-word description.
When I am attaching tags to Ziploc bags or housewares, can I cover the QR code with packing tape?
NO. Do not cover the QR code with packing tape! It creates a glare and prevents our scanners from reading your tag.
Items accepted
Are Ladies/Jr's items season-specific?
Yes, the EverythingELSE Sale is season-specific. See our Items Accepted chart for details.
Can I sell a mattress?
You can sell crib mattresses separately. Better yet, you can include it with your crib and mark the tag "free with purchase of this crib" and attach a duplicate tag to the mattress. You can only sell new twin-King mattresses wrapped or covered with plastic.
Does an item that can either plug in or run on batteries need to have batteries in it for the sale?
Yes! All items must have batteries so that shoppers can easily tell that the item works without moving it from the sales floor to plug it in. You can get batteries at Dollar Tree.
Do you allow lightweight, long-sleeve shirts at your spring/summer sale?
We would prefer you bring these to our Fall/Winter sale unless they are clearly a spring item. Windbreakers, white cardigans, and raincoats, for instance, are welcome!
Do you accept jeans and khaki pants in the Spring/Summer sale?
We think you should sell these at the Fall/Winter sale to get the most money for them. If you consign them at the Spring/Summer sale, we suggest you price them at $1-$2 less.
Do coats and costumes hang in a special location?
At our Fall events, coats and costumes hang on specialty racks. See the Drop-off page for our rack categories.
Do you take bed rails?
Yes at the EverythingELSE Sale.
Drop-off & pickup
I cannot make it to Pickup. What are my options?
Unsold items NOT picked up at this time will be donated to charity that evening! We regret that alternate arrangements cannot be made. Please work sort or pull your items on 75% off day if you must miss Pickup. Do not have a friend pick up your unsold items if you are unavailable to do so because only children's toys, puzzles, and games are sorted for EverythingELSE Sale Pickup! Please do not email asking for us to hold your items or to come the following day if you forget Pickup.
If I am restricted to "Late Drop Off" as a late registrant and therefore required to tag on white cardstock, can I attend the Consignor shopping time?
Yes! Just bring your late registration confirmation as your pass!
What organization do unsold donated items go to? Is this tax-deductible?
Most organizations are listed on our Donate Unsold Items page. Print your tax donation receipt from the link provided on our site.
Shoppers
Shopping times & tickets
I am going out of town this weekend and will not be able to go to the consignor sale. Is it okay if I go the following shopping date?
You are always welcome to shop anytime we are open after your designated shopping time.
I am a first-time grandmother. Can I register as a first-time parent?
Yes, you can get a ticket as a first-time parent/grandparent if your grandchild is on the way or under the age of 1.
Why do you separate shop times for first-time parents from expecting parents?
Two words: "Crowd Control!"
I have lost my early shop pass. What should I do?
Register and print it again. Leave everything checked as it was!
Guests & rules
Can my parents shop with me at the $5 Ticket Presale event under my $5 ticket, or do they need to purchase their own ticket?
Parents, spouses, and children are welcome under your ticket and do not need to purchase their own ticket.
Can Crew and Consignors bring friends with them to shop?
Consignors can bring a friend to all of their shopping days if not bringing spouse, parents, or children. Crew can only bring 1 friend instead of family on discount days.
How can my friends check-in for early shop times?
In order to shop early at the "Friends" sales, your friends need to get a Ticket and tell us your name at the door unless you are a ticket holder or consignor and bringing them instead of family. You can invite an UNLIMITED number of friends to our Friends of Crew and Consignors Sale with a friends ticket!
Is it okay to bring a grandparent to an early sale?
Yes, grandparents and spouses/partners are always welcome at our special preview sales.
Crew
Shifts & scheduling
Is it required to register as Crew once you become a consignor?
No, you do not have to join the Crew to consign, but the Crew shop first and so get the best picks by far! Almost 25% of our items are sold to the Crew. Likewise, you can join the Crew without consigning.
Can I see available Crew Time Slots prior to registering?
You must go through registration to see available slots. But you don't have to choose one.
What does the [S] mean on the Crew registration slots?
It means this slot offers "Super" status. These are slots that we find difficult to fill and therefore offer special status. Combining two [S] slots or three regular slots will give you Super Duper status.
Why did my Super [S] slot and my Regular slot not make me Super Duper?
It takes 2 Super [S] slots to receive "Super Duper" status. Your [S] slot counts for 1.5 shifts not 2 full shifts, so if you do an [S] slot it will give you "Super" status. But an [S] slot plus a regular slot does not equal Super Duper.
Can I combine barter slots and traditional slots?
Absolutely! Register for traditional slots, then forward your confirmation email to us to combine with your barter hours.
Duties & logistics
Do I need cashier experience to join the Crew?
No. Anyone can help at our sale.
Where do Crew need to go to check in & receive their assignment?
Please go to the Crew check-in counter in the central checkout area to be checked in and to receive an apron and a name tag.
What are the responsibilities of a person who mans the door as a Crew slot?
We need greeters to interface with shoppers. During presales, we ask our greeters to check passes or tickets and/or ID to ensure that we are honoring the commitments that those entitled to shop early have made to the sale. We need friendly, enthusiastic folks who can graciously explain to passersby why they might not be permitted to shop at a given time and make them feel welcome to return at a later time. During preview sales and public shopping times, we also ask the door person to help us maintain security by checking the receipts of exiting shoppers. Finally, those who serve in this position direct shoppers and answer general questions.
