*You cannot quality check during Crew shifts. Do not take a quality shift if you are scheduled for a Crew shift at that time!

Why are we doing this?
We want to be a place you trust to sell your items and shoppers trust to buy them! With over 1,000 consignors, even one flawed item per person means over 1,000 unbuyable items crowding the racks. That makes shopping frustrating and hurts your sell-through rate. The racks are overfull and the items that seem best to stop accepting are outdated ones and flawed ones.
Our goal is to clear out unacceptable items with poor sell-through rates so your high-quality items shine, sell for what they are worth, and keep shoppers coming back to this amazing consignment sale event! High standards mean a higher sell-through rate for you.
The Care We Take
We know seeing deductions on your seller report is frustrating. Please know our team puts incredible care into this process. Three to four pairs of eyes verify every single pulled item, checking them again and again, not just once.
If a flaw looks like floor dust or a quick fix, we try to save it! Our team uses wipes, lint rollers, and defuzzers to clean items and get them right back on the floor. If there is any doubt that a stain will easily wash out, the item stays on the rack to sell. Even New With Tags (NWT) items are checked carefully, as they often come with store damage or inner staining.

New this season: At BoutiqueBASH Drop-off, you can request an on-the-spot stain check for your New With Tag adult items so they can be stamped approved right then and there.
Earn KE Bucks while you shop:
Find an obvious stain on clothing that clearly came in that way? Bring it to GAIL'S TABLE before checkout, and we will give you $1 in KE Bucks PER ITEM to deduct from your total.
(Note: We only pay for stains present at drop-off, not fitting room makeup/deodorant or floor dust.)
How to Redeem:
Turn in your KE Bucks to the Cashier at checkout (not your scanner) to have the amount deducted from your total.
How it affects consignors:
Any unaccepted item (stains, holes, tears, off-season) will result in $1 deducted from your check, as we pay that $1 to the shopper who found it. (Please remember that processing unacceptable items actually costs us significantly more than this as we pay our team to triple-check them and then log them and store them then pull them out for pickup. We hope that in time the amount of unacceptable items dropped off will decrease significantly.) But, your sell-through rate will improve as shoppers come to trust and love our events more and more for quality items at great prices.
What happens to these items?
BOTH White Tag and Color Tag unacceptable items will be held until the end of Pickup for you to retrieve.
If you do not pick them up, your unacceptable items are boxed and donated to wonderful local charities serving our homeless and immigrant and poor communities.
In Spring 2026, stained items went primarily to World Help Foundation, which provides for the needs of local students, and the Carolina Care Center’s Care Pantry. Each Saturday morning, the Care Pantry offers these items freely to those in need in our community. Nicer items were given to Wake Local Reentry Council to assist with their dress for success program (job interviews) and job assistance program (jeans for worksite jobs).
