Top Reasons Items Get Pulled

Stains are #1, followed by off-season items — each unaccepted item costs you $1. Inspect every item in bright light and confirm it's in-season before you tag. See our Stain Checking Checklist for exactly where to look. When in doubt, leave it out.

🚫 No Adult, Junior, or Maternity Items

To keep our Kids EveryWEAR sale focused on the little ones, we DO NOT ACCEPT any adult clothing, junior sizes (odd sizes 1-13), or maternity wear at this event.

This includes all adult tops, bottoms, outerwear, athletic wear, formal wear, scrubs, and adult accessories (like purses, hats, belts, and adult jewelry).

Exception: Breast pump bras are accepted at KE as they are designed specifically to go around breast pump tubing.

About Items Accepted & Fines

All items must be clean, in excellent condition, complete, and with working batteries and required cords!

  • Size Limits: No adult sizes XS, S, 000 or larger. Only kids sizes preemie-14/16/18/20. Only kids shoes sizes 0-8.5
  • Condition: No outdated items, no amount of yellowing, pet hair, bleach, tiny holes, tiny stains, no crunchy/overstretched elastic, no loose hems, etc.
  • Minimum children's clothing price: $2. Shoes & accessories: No minimum price.
  • Toys must have working batteries and be marked "COMPLETE".
  • Puzzles/Games: Must be 100% complete! Mark "Counted/Complete" directly on the tag.
  • We do not accept vintage or hand-painted items, or items missing pieces or in need of repair.
  • A fee of $1 per item will be deducted from your check for each unaccepted item brought to the sale. Unacceptable large items will result in a $10 disposal fee. Fines are listed on your Seller Report.

💡 Pro-Tip: The "Inspection Light" Trick

Stains are the #1 reason items are rejected. Check all items under bright, natural light before tagging. Check front/back, hems (pants/shorts/sleeves), knees, bottom, skort shorts, snaps/buttons, zippers, embroidery/smocking, and seams.

Check at Crew Check-in table to get questionable items approved and have tag marked "accepted" at Drop-off, but please err on the side of caution.

Is a clothing item Summer or Winter?

The Golden Rule: "Is this item designed for, or typically worn in, the upcoming season?" Rack space is highly limited! If a summer item could be layered for winter, leave it at home for the Spring sale.

🍁 Fall/Winter (Sept)

UNACCEPTED ITEMS:

  • NO Summer Fabrics: No linen, seersucker, gauze, muslin, terry cloth, or madras.
  • NO Summer Pants: No capris, above-knee pants, lightweight beach pants, or shorts rompers.
  • NO Shorts or Swimwear: No swimsuits (or shorts with a swimsuit lining). Exception: Boys' size 7+ shorts or synthetic exercise shorts.
  • NO Summer Cuts: No open bellies, ruffle/butterfly sleeves, or eyelet. No cap-sleeves (shorter on the underside near the seam).
  • NO Bare Shoulders: No "Cold shoulder"/off-shoulder (unless long-sleeved & very winter). No sleeveless shirts (even if worn under a sweater!), except dri-fit exercise shirts.
  • NO Sleeveless Dresses: Exception: Clearly winter styles (velvet, wool, winter formals, or sequins for New Years).
  • NO Summer Holidays: (St. Paddy's, Easter, 4th of July).
  • ✅ YES to PJs: Shorts-style pajamas are accepted ONLY if they are heavy weight, fleece, or flannel.

🌷 Spring/Summer (Feb/Mar)

UNACCEPTED ITEMS:

  • NO Winter Fabrics: Fleece, flannel, thermal waffle weave, velvet, faux fur, corduroy, or lined pants, velour, wool, suede.
  • NO Winter Cuts: Turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, winter vests, puffer, or dark-colored long-sleeved shirts.
  • NO Long-Sleeved Shirts: Heavy, dark-colored or dark color plaid long-sleeved shirts are not accepted.
  • NO Winter Themes: Holiday patterns or winter designs.
  • NO Winter Holidays: (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's).
  • ✅ YES to Exceptions: We DO accept thin long-sleeved t-shirts clearly worn for NC summer sun in July, boys' light/pastel thin-weight summer dress shirts, and sweatshirts/hoodies (if NOT lined with an extra layer of fabric).

These are examples. Our Crew reserves the right to remove any items from the racks if they deem them off-season. We charge $1 per item for each unaccepted item.

Only season-specific children's clothing size preemie to a CHILDREN'S size 16/18/20 at Kids EveryWEAR.

Yes; must include charging cable and be unregistered/removed from your parent app account. Place figures or cards in a Ziploc bag, seal with packing tape, and securely zip-tie to the player, or sell figures/cards separately. Attach Claim Ticket at Drop-off & give to Crew to attach to secure high-end rack.
Clocks
Yes; table style in Housewares on shelf. Only child-themed wall clocks -these go in Girl or Boy decor in Housewares. All battery-operated clocks must have working batteries installed.
Computer Monitors
20" or smaller, 5 years old or newer, 1080p resolution or better. Must include power and video cables (HDMI, DisplayPort, or USB-C). No CRT, VGA-only, or broken/scratched screens.

Infant Equipment

Check CPSC.GOV for recalls. Consignors must assemble all items at Drop-off including pack 'n plays, tents, cribs, tunnels. Infant Equipment that includes an adapter does not have to include batteries as long as it can be properly tested with the attached adapter. Fold and zip tie adapter cord to the item.

Items must be setup and have all parts/screws. Add Claim Ticket at Drop-off to all equipment larger than a laundry basket. Add "Do not play" or Do not sit" sign when needed.

To keep the Kids EveryWEAR Sale top-notch and ensure your items sell, our Crew actively checks racks and removes items that are off-season, stained, damaged, or not the correct sizes. We know mistakes happen! We hold every item we pull as unacceptable — white and colored tag — through the end of Pickup, so you can retrieve or inspect it before it's donated.
