Why are we doing this?
We want every shopper to LOVE thrifting and leave our events feeling thrilled with their finds.
Shoppers were finding stained items and leaving them on the racks. We needed a system to ensure they will turn them in and not leave them. Pulling stained items became more than Crew could manage.
There are plenty of like new items at the same price.
If every consignor has just 1 stained item, that is over 1200 stained items on the racks! But many people have several stained items, so it adds up quickly and lowers overall quality and shopper experience.
No one wants to get home and find a hidden stain. By removing these items, we ensure a higher sell-through rate for your high-quality goods!
While you shop:
Bring clothing items (shoes, equipment, toys, sports gear and baseball pants are not included but we will assign specific folks to earn bucks checking other categories of items like sippy cups, sleeping bags, curtains, rugs, shoes, equipment, etc.) you find while shopping with obvious stains that clearly came into the sale stained at Drop-off to GAIL'S TABLE and we will give you $1 in KE Bucks PER ITEM. We only pay for stains on clothing that clearly came in that way, not floor dust etc. (Do not turn them in elsewhere. They must be brought to Gails table up front before you check out.)
How to Redeem:
Turn in your KE Bucks to the Cashier at checkout (not your scanner) to have the amount deducted from your total.
What Happens to These Items?
White Tag Items: We box these up and donate them to our wonderful local charities!
Color Tag Items: These will be available for the consignor to retrieve their items during our pickup time IF we have the space to store them. We will donate stained items before pickup if we do not.
Pro-Tip for Consignors at Drop-Off
Our lighting in the back of the venue is excellent! As you put out your items, take one last look under our bright lights. They often reveal tiny spots that are easy to miss in the lighting at home.
⚠️ Important Update
Starting at the EverythingELSE in April/May 2026 any unaccepted item (stains, holes, tears, off season) will result in $1 deducted from check since we are paying out $1 per item to whoever found it.
